    Zelensky promises to give a fair answer to the recent Russian missile attack on Odesa

    Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky promised that his country would provide a fair response to Russia for the recent missile strike on Odesa that resulted in at least 20 deaths on Friday.

    Russia launched ballistic missiles at the port city on the Black Sea, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 people and injuries to at least 70. The missiles were fired from the Russian-occupied Crimea peninsula.

    The attack caused damage to Odesa’s electricity supply and infrastructure. It led to 10 people being seriously injured and the death of a rescuer who was helping people at the scene, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper. Reuters. 

    Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces will go to great lengths to make the Russians experience their response to the missile attack. He mentioned that the rescue operation is ongoing, but condemned the attack as an act of “cowardice.”

    “It’s a despicable act of cowardice: two missiles, with the second one hitting when rescuers and doctors arrived at the scene,” Zelensky said in a statement on Friday. “Among the casualties and injured are emergency paramedics and rescuers from the State Emergency Service. My condolences go out to all their families and loved ones.” statement Friday. “Our Defense Forces will do everything to make Russian killers feel our just response.”

    The attack resulted in the deaths of several law enforcement officials, as well as the former deputy mayor of the city.

    Kiper mentioned that some Odesa residents are facing gas supply cuts due to the attack on Friday.
