A University of Missouri student has vanished after being asked to leave a bar during a trip to Nashville.

Riley Strain, 22, was last spotted by his friends getting kicked out of Luke Bryan’s 32 Food + Bridge on Broadway on Friday, according to a report about him being missing.

Strain told his friends that he was going back to their hotel, his stepfather, Christopher Whiteid, informed The St Louis Dispatch.

But Strain did not show up at the hotel or get in touch with his friends, causing them to file a missing person report the next day.

Strain is thought to have gone in the wrong direction while trying to find his hotel.

CCTV publicized by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department on Tuesday revealed Strain walking unsteadily across 1st Avenue North to Gay Street at 9.47pm. Strain looked at other people on the street and turned around before walking down the sidewalk, as shown in the video.

‘Investigators are still following up on tips and leads about missing person Riley Strain,’ stated the police department on Facebook.

On Monday, university officials stated that they were notified over the weekend that Strain disappeared after traveling ‘to attend a private event’.

‘The safety of our community is our highest priority,’ expressed Angela King Taylor, interim vice chancellor for student affairs.

‘Our thoughts are with Riley’s family as the search continues. We will be providing any assistance to them that we can, and we encourage anyone who needs help to reach out to our counseling resources.’

Strain went to the Music City for his fraternity’s spring formal, the university’s associate director of public affairs Travis Zimpher told USA TODAY on Tuesday.

‘We’re hopeful to hear something,’ said Zimpher.

Strain’s mother, Michelle Whiteid, told FOX 17 it ‘is not like him at all’ not to call or text.

Cops searched the banks by the Cumberland River and did not find anything.

Strain is 6-foot-5 and was wearing a two-tone shirt.

Anyone with information on Strain’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police department.
