Israel is ordering new evacuations in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where over one million Palestinians are sheltering, as the country is preparing to expand its military operations.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) told people in Rafah to go to Al Mawasi area and to the west of Gaza City as they expect Hamas to rebuild in the area. This information was shared by IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee on social media platform X early Saturday. post on social media platform X.

Israel has had international opposition to its plan for a full-scale ground invasion of Rafah. President Biden said he would withhold sending bombs to Israel if they go ahead with the operation. said The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reports that at least 300,000 people are affected by the new evacuation notices.

The agency estimated that about 150,000 people have left Rafah since Monday. said The agency also reported that over 100,000 people who already left Rafah are struggling to find shelter, food, water, and sanitation services.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that over 100,000 displaced people from Rafah are dealing with severe shortages of shelter, food, water, and sanitation services. according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The State Department's highly-anticipated report said it was “reasonable to assess” that Israel violated international humanitarian law in its war operation in the Gaza Strip. However, the review did not find specific examples of violation to hold the U.S. ally accountable. reportSenator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) criticized the report, released on Friday, as “woefully inadequate.”

Israel is asking people to leave Rafah and getting ready to increase military actions there.  People in Rafah were told by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to head north to the Al Mawasi area. They were also instructed to head west…

“While the administration has made some important general findings in this report, including the finding that it’s reasonable to conclude that Israel has violated international law in the use of American weapons, they all fall short of making difficult determinations in specific cases,” he said Friday.
