Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) made an appearance suggesting a connection to the story about presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stating that a doctor informed him a parasite had partially consumed his brain and its possible link to the assassinations of his father and uncle.
Former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, and former President Kennedy, were assassinated in 1968 and 1963, respectively. The former president was notably shot in the back of the head during his assassination.
On Wednesday, the New York Times reported that the independent presidential candidate was informed over a decade ago that he might have a parasite in his brain.
The Times examined a 2012 deposition by Kennedy detailing his symptoms and a doctor’s suggestion of the parasite. The newspaper also reported that in 2010, Kennedy began experiencing memory loss and mental fogginess, causing concern about a possible tumor.
As per the Times, multiple doctors spotted a dark spot on his brain scans. Just before surgery to remove the apparent tumor, Kennedy received a call from a doctor who believed he had a deceased parasite in his brain.
Kennedy stated in the deposition that the doctor informed him the dark spot on the brain scan indicated “a worm that entered my brain and consumed a portion of it before dying.”
The Hill has contacted Kennedy’s campaign and Collins’ office for their comments.
