Ubisoft’s open world game is set to be released this summer, and it also has a season pass scheduled for DLC expansions. Star Wars The game will be available this summer, and there are plans for a season pass for extra game content.

Ubisoft Japan accidentally revealed the release date for Star Wars Outlaws a few hours early. Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30, as revealed by a leaked age rating listing in South Korea. The showcasing of the trailer has only just been made public and it is very impressive, with some top-notch graphics for what is apparently an open world game with several different planets. For a story trailer, we’re not sure we really learned a whole lot more, other than the Han Solo-like Kay Vess is being coerced into pulling off a dangerous heist to win her freedom. The game is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and you can see that Vess runs into Han Solo himself while he’s still trapped in carbonite.

We didn't learn much more from the story trailer, other than the Han Solo-like character Kay Vess is being forced into a dangerous heist to gain her freedom.

The game's timeline is between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and Vess encounters Han Solo while he’s still encased in carbonite.

The game features several criminal cartels, including the Pykes and the Hutts, with a new cartel causing trouble for Vess.

It's fun to see Jabba, but that means more Tatooine – the most visited planet in the galaxy – with a brief scene showing a Kyrat Dragon from The Mandalorian.

The leaked information also revealed that there are Gold and Ultimate Editions of the game, both including the season pass and three days of early access.

The Gold Edition costs £94.99, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at £114.99 and includes a digital art book and additional cosmetic extras.

The season pass includes two unspecified ‘narrative expansions’ after launch, plus the exclusive Jabba’s Gambit mission from day one, and additional skins for Vess and her animal friend Nix.

Despite the season pass, Outlaws is single-player only. EA recently cancelled a game rumored to be based on The Mandalorian and stated that it was moving away from licensed games in general, once it's completed the Star Wars Jedi trilogy and its previously announced Marvel games. Ubisoft's focus on the shadier aspects of the galaxy sets it apart from other Star Wars games.
