Fans of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts now have a place to buy adorable gifts for their pets, but it will be expensive.
Square Enix’s impressive remake Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has not only been well-received by fans and critics, but also by dogs.
The company has opened a store specifically for pet products, including clothing and accessories, called Sqex Pets.
The products are not yet available for purchase, but the current offerings include a Final Fantasy 7 Buster Sword rope toy, Kingdom Hearts dog bed, and a Dragon Quest slime house.
Some of the most appealing and cute items are the Final Fantasy 7 Buster Sword rope toy and Kingdom Hearts Sora dogwear. (At the moment, only dogs are shown using the items, but some may also be suitable for cats.)
The Sqex Pets website states that it's designed to create pet products from Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts – in partnership with Disney.
‘We plan to make leads, bandanas, and clothing inspired by characters and worldviews, as well as items that can be enjoyed as interior decorations such as large nail clippers and beds,’ it says.
The store was launched today at a Japanese pet trade event, but it’s not clear when the items will be available on the website, which only says ‘coming soon’ under each listing.
It’s also not known how much the items will cost or if it ships its goods internationally. Although it’s not looking promising for anyone outside of Japan, as the site is currently only in Japanese.
What we do know is that they look adorable, which means demand will be high and expensive imports will flood eBay as soon as the website opens officially.
