Emergency services are dealing with a serious single-vehicle crash that has caused the anticlockwise closure of the M25 in Surrey.
Traffic has been increasing on the London orbital road since earlier this morning after the area between Junction 5 at Godstone and Junction 6, which connects to the M26, was shut down.
National Highways has stated that drivers should be prepared for delays of 30 minutes or more and has recommended using the A22 and A25 as alternate routes.
People traveling to work are experiencing lengthy waits on two London Underground lines.
Service on the Circle and District lines has been impacted by a malfunctioning train.
The westbound District line between Tower Hill, Ealing Broadway and Richmond is affected, while the clockwise Circle line has delays but the anticlockwise direction remains unaffected.
