DNC releases song criticizing RNC in response to Lara Trump’s single

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) revealed a new song on Friday to counter the single released by Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump.

DNC Chair Jaime Harrison commented that Lara Trump’s 'music career' is a waste of money, but they acknowledge the effort and aim to help Lara share her story about how she and her fellow MAGA extremists at the RNC are struggling financially and losing elections.

Harrison also mentioned that they are enthusiastic about releasing their first single, 'Party’s Fallin’ Down,' a summer party anthem that highlights the RNC's struggle under Lara Trump and the new ultra-MAGA team.

Lara Trump, who is the daughter-in-law of the former president, released a new song on Friday and hinted at more releases, especially for her “fans in the liberal media.” Her song, titled “Anything Is Possible,” revolves around faith. Last year, she released a cover of Tom Petty’s 1989 song “I won’t back down.”

She stepped into the role of co-chair of the RNC earlier this month, succeeding former Chair Ronna McDaniel after Super Tuesday. Since then, the RNC has gone through changes, including staff layoffs and preparation for the upcoming general election.

The DNC’s single features includes song lyrics that ridicule Lara Trump, questioning “What’s going on?”

“You’re running the RNC, but it’s a sad song (sad song),” the lyrics say. “Fundraising’s low, can’t meet the mark. Republicans are losing, it’s getting dark.”

“Empty pockets, no money in sight,” it continues. “Candidates are struggling, it’s a losing fight.”

Harrison explained that the DNC didn’t invest as much money and time into creating their song because they are “busy with our record-breaking fundraising and supporting Democrats up and down the ballot.”

He also added in his statement that Lara is certainly welcome to continue making music instead of focusing on winning elections.
