In a recent interview, conservative attorney George Conway dismissed former President Trump's assertion that he did not sleep in court after observers noticed him closing his eyes during the hush money case in New York.

Conway, a regular critic of Trump, stated that the former president has had difficulty waking up early for a while, even during his time as commander in chief.

Conway shared his thoughts on MSNBC's "Inside with Jen Psaki," saying, "That's just so typical of Donald Trump."

"His reputation in the past has been that he's 'Sleepy Donald.' I've spoken to journalists who interviewed him and wrote books about him, and they mentioned that he rarely showed up at Trump Tower before 11:00 a.m. or sometimes even later," Conway said.

"We also know his habits at the White House. He wasn't there in the morning and didn't read his important briefing books early. It's a challenge for him to wake up early every day. He can't travel around the country freely like people in cellphone commercials," he added.

Conway made these remarks shortly after Trump refuted claims of sleeping in court, stating in a post on Truth Social that he only closed his eyes to "listen intensely."

Trump has been observed closing his eyes during his hush money trial, where he is facing 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records in an attempt to cover up stories that could potentially harm his 2016 campaign. wrote.

Democrats and political strategists have criticized Trump for appearing to fall asleep during the proceedings.
