Emma Raducanu’s company has made a profit of £9,600,000 during her tennis comeback

Emma Raducanu’s company has made a significant profit of £9,600,000 as she continued her tennis resurgence with a stunning win over Angelique Kerber.

Raducanu has been performing well lately, with the 2021 US Open champion aiming to return to the top of the sport after an injury-plagued 2023.

The British tennis star defeated former world No.1 and three-time major winner Kerber 6-2 6-1 in the first round of the Stuttgart Open on Wednesday.

Raducanu needed only one hour and 24 minutes to defeat Kerber and the result follows her great performance for Great Britain in their Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers.

The 21-year-old impressively defeated world No.49 Diane Parry and world No.23 Caroline Garcia as Britain secured their place in the finals in November.

Following her latest victory over Kerber, Raducanu mentioned feeling fatigued but expressed satisfaction with her form while praising coach Nick Cavaday.

‘I know this week is obviously a challenge for me, because, like, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t tired,’ Raducanu said.

‘But I would way rather be in this position where I have played a lot of matches and I’m feeling fatigued than being super fresh and losing. It’s funny, because you always want something that you can’t have.

‘I am playing some really good tennis. I feel like I’m a lot more dominant in my service games.

‘I feel like I’m playing level-wise, I knew it before I went to Fed Cup even, like, training, I was playing really well. I think everyone that I was practicing with can attest to that too.

‘I feel very comfortable working with [Nick Cavaday]. I have known him since I was a young age, so he’s someone who I feel like I can trust, and that’s a big thing for me.

‘I feel like he’s known me since a young age. He knows pretty well how I operate. I would say I haven’t changed at all since I was like eight or nine.

‘But everything around me has changed, but it’s mentally I feel like I’m the exact same person.

‘We have obviously been doing great work this year, and it’s starting to show, but the training weeks we have been doing since the start, it’s just been slowly building and building. Whenever it all comes together, I think, like, big things will happen.’

Raducanu, currently ranked world No.303 after her long spell ruled out with injury, could be set for a showdown with world No.1 Iga Swiatek in the third round.

She will first have to get past world No.31 Linda Noskova on Thursday while Swiatek faces Elise Mertens ahead of a potential battle against Raducanu.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Raducanu’s company – Harbour 6 Limited – has recorded profits of £9.6m, according to latest documents.

Raducanu is the sole director with the bulk of her income coming from lucrative sponsorship deals which have dwarfed her on-court earnings of around £3.2m.

Wilson, Nike, British Airways, Evian, Tiffany, Dior, HSBC, Vodafone and Porsche all sponsor Raducanu – who has been widely followed since her fairytale in New York.
