    Famous actor Jean-Paul Vignon, known for his role in Shrek, has passed away at the age of 89

    Jean-Paul Vignon, a popular singer and actor from France, has passed away at 89 years old.

    Vignon passed away on March 22 due to liver cancer. cancer His family has revealed that he passed away in Beverly Hills.

    The American actor started his career in entertainment when he opened for comedian Woody Allen in 1963, and continued to perform in both the US and Europe. New York He played a role in the movie Shrek (2001) and provided narration for the 2009 romantic comedy 500 Days of Summer, featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.

    Apart from acting, Vignon found success as a singer. He signed with Columbia Records and released his first US album, Because I Love You, in 1964.

    He appeared on a Sunday night CBS variety show to sing a duet with the young Liza Minnelli and made a total of eight appearances on the show.

    In 1994, the

    Los Angeles Times wrote a profile on Vignon, describing him as the epitome of the romantic, singing Frenchman. He compared his voice to that of Bobby Darin, able to sing fast and passionate or gentle and slow, rather than renowned French crooners like Maurice Chevalier and Gilbert Bécaud.
