The deleted online platforms for social interaction and communication will play a major role in the Australian prosecution’s case against her.

Erin Patterson, 49, was taken into custody at her residence six months ago in Leongatha, eastern Victoria, and accused of three murders and five attempted murders.

Gail and Don Patterson, the parents of her estranged husband, and Gail Patterson’s sister, Heather, all passed away shortly after consuming a beef Wellington meal at Patterson’s home on July 29.

A fourth person at the lunch, Ian Wilkinson, eventually recovered and was discharged from the hospital in late September.

Authorities stated that the symptoms experienced by the two elderly couples were consistent with poisoning by death cap mushrooms, which are among the deadliest mushroom species in Australia and are found in Victoria.

    Patterson has denied any wrongdoing.

Investigators are focusing on Patterson’s use of Facebook, Herald Sun reported.

Sources informed the newspaper that Patterson had multiple accounts under different names and was known for periodically deleting and creating new ones.

Her internet search history will also be examined, with a police source stating that specialized investigators can track her digital activity.

The source mentioned that while it's challenging, it's achievable in most cases.

Police dogs discovered five iPads, a mobile phone, a USB device, and a smartwatch in the accused’s homes last year.

Patterson will appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court via video link on April 22 for a special mention prior to a committal mention on May 3.

    Stay tuned for more updates.
