Connecticut is the most recent state to permit voters to cast their votes ahead of time and in person.
Saturday was the last day for early voting in Connecticut before the presidential primary on Tuesday. This is the first election in the state to provide early voting.

Since both President Biden and former President Trump have secured the necessary delegates, there's not much at stake.
Thomas’s office stated there have been no significant systematic or legal issues with the new voting option.
Only four states — Alabama, Delaware, Mississippi and New Hampshire — don't permit early, in-person voting. These four states do offer options for absentee voters.
In this primary, there are only four days for early voting, but the general election will provide 14 days to choose from. This came after voters approved a constitutional amendment in 2022 and the state legislatures passed and clarified the text last year.
