A non-professional football team was scolded by their own official Twitter account after the administrator forgot to log out following a significant loss.
National League The Farsley Celtic team from the northern part of the country had a very forgettable afternoon when they traveled 180 miles to compete against Hereford, only to find themselves trailing 4-0 by half-time.
But if that wasn’t bad enough, the team’s social media admin then made a humorous mistake by forgetting to log out of the club’s official Twitter account before launching a strongly worded criticism of the team’s performance.
'Just paid £70 for me and my son to watch this sh**e', the Farsley Celtic account tweeted, accompanied by a cry-laugh emoji.
The tweet was quickly removed after the admin seemed to realize their mistake, but not before it was captured in a screenshot by an observant fan and shared on the social platform.
Farsley has suffered a series of poor performances, losing four games in a row and five out of their last seven matches. Their last victory was over a month ago, a narrow 1-0 win against Blyth Spartans.
The disappointing run has seen them pushed closer to the relegation zone, with only a two-point gap separating them from the bottom three.
The Celt Army have been a National League North club since getting promoted in 2019, but are facing relegation this season unless their form drastically improves.
The side, managed by former Brentford and Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson, are currently two points ahead of 19th place Rushall Olympic, who are in the relegation zone.
