A Republican senator claimed that liberal ideology has negatively impacted sex education by turning kids transgender and referred to it as 'satanic'

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), known for his anti-LGBTQ+ views, recently went on an impassioned tirade accusing liberalism of promoting a 'satanic cult' responsible for transgender issues among kids.

He shared his thoughts on the country's direction during an appearance on Charlie Kirk's far-right podcast. His remarks were made on Real America's Voice podcast on Tuesday. During the podcast, he expressed his belief that the country is fighting against a 'satanic cult'.

He stated that liberalism is destructive and undermines everything that makes the nation strong.

He emphasized the ideological warfare between good and evil, framing it as more than just a policy dispute in the Senate and House.

Describing 'wokism' as an obsession similar to a political opinion, Tuberville criticized it as a 'religion' unrelated to any Bible teachings he is familiar with.

He criticized liberalism and socialism for worsening conditions in cities and blamed them for the deterioration of sex education and transitioning of young children before their teenage years.

He concluded by asserting that the actions he described reflect characteristics of a 'satanic cult'.

The belief that schools are influencing children to identify as transgender is popular among the anti-LGBTQ+ community as it shifts blame away from their anti-trans policies.

In reality, transgender kids experience significant pressure to conceal their identity from family and school, yet many are firm in their gender identity from a young age.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) was similarly accused of fabricating a story in 2022. In 2022, DeSantis claimed that a school had forced a child to transition without the mother's knowledge or consent.

However, CNN's investigation revealed that the student had independently identified as nonbinary and the mother was aware of the situation and entrusted the school to act in the student's best interest.

The mother wrote to the school expressing her gratitude for their support and stated that she would allow her child to guide the process of dealing with the gender situation.

Tuberville spent a significant portion of 2023 obstructing military promotions due to the military's support for abortion and a nonbinary individual delivering a poem over a Navy vessel's loudspeaker.

He strongly criticized the military's direction and expressed his belief that it is regressing, not progressing. These statements were made during a previous interview..

Earlier in the year, Tuberville claimed that the Democrats' backing of transgender rights was an attempt to eradicate women.

He suggested that Democrats harbor animosity towards women. This statement was made in the past.. “They want women to disappear and now they're joining sports to ensure that 'Hey, let’s not allow women to benefit from sports. Let’s harm them by allowing biological men to compete against them.'”
