After a physical game in the first three quarters, Charlestown dominated the fourth quarter, leading to a 70-57 victory over Taconic at Worcester State.
In the final quarter, everyone contributed, but Jaylen Hunter-Coleman (23 points, nine rebounds, four steals), Damante Vanheyningen (19 points), and Jaylin Williams Crawford (12 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks) were the standout players.
Taconic's attempt to defend its Div. 5 state championship fell short, while Charlestown avenged its loss in the Div. 2 state semifinal. They will now face No. 2 Old Rochester at the Tsongas Center this weekend.

In the final quarter, Charlestown limited Taconic's offensive rebounds, while scoring with three-pointers and strong drives, resulting in a 56-45 lead.
