    Friday’s high school summary/results: Mike Dankert scores 1,000th career point and helps Bourne win

    Mike Dankert achieved his 1,000th career point while scoring 19 points, with Leo Andrade and Dom Quelle scoring 18 points each and Nate Reynolds contributing 12 points. Bourne, the second-seeded team with a record of 22-1, easily advanced to the Div. 4 state boys basketball semifinals with a 71-46 victory over No. 10 David Prouty.

    Mason Medeiros (16 points, five rebounds) and Dom Taylor (15 points, six rebounds) both reached double digits in scoring, while Max Finlaw (nine points, seven rebounds), Brendan McDonald (nine points), and Finn Bjork (six points, 13 rebounds) also performed well for Somerset Berkley, the fourth-seeded team with a record of 21-2, in their 55-41 Div. 2 quarterfinal win over No. 5 Mansfield. Drexler Pierre delivered an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double, and Matt Gaffney contributed 16 points as two-time defending state champion No. 1 Malden Catholic (14-9) secured another trip to the Final Four with a 60-43 win over No. 8 Holyoke. Jameson Baer scored 15 points for No. 14 Bedford (19-3) in their 69-43 win over No. 38 Middleboro.

    The seniors once again showcased their skills for fifth-seeded Xaverian, with a 55-52 win over No. 4 North Andover propelling them to the Div. 1 state semifinals. Lorenzo Carrara scored 19 points, JJ Honekamp added 17 points, and Roman Perdoni contributed eight points, four rebounds, and four assists for the Hawks, who won three games in the tournament for the first time since 1990.

    Girls basketball

    By shooting 10-for-13 from the field, Julia Webster (22 points, 12 rebounds) led top-seeded Bishop Feehan (19-4) to a 75-26 victory over No. 8 Lexington in Div. 1 state quarterfinal play. Maddy Steel scored 20 points with six 3-pointers, and Lily Singer contributed 10 points and six rebounds. Charlotte Adams-Lopez provided 10 assists, and strong team defense allowed just two points in the second and third quarters.

    Izzy Kittredge (15 points, eight rebounds), Naya Annigeri (13 points), and Sadie Cummings (nine points) led No. 1 Medfield (21-2) in their 57-44 Div. 2 quarterfinal win over No. 9 Norwood.

    Jillian Roberts scored 18 points, and Juliana Conte and AJ Hyacinthe each recorded nine points to lead No. 5 St. Mary’s (Lynn) (20-6) to a 47-31 victory over No. 4 Hanover, advancing them to the Div. 3 state semifinals. Reese Matela delivered a strong all-around performance for the Spartans with eight points, eight rebounds, and four blocks. Reagan Dowd scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds, while Maddie Oliver (11 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists) and Alex Cassidy (11 points, 11 rebounds) secured double-doubles as No. 2 Norwell (22-1) defeated No. 7 Sandwich, 62-40.

    Maddie Pitro scored 22 points, leading second-seeded West Boylston (20-3) to a 63-43 win over No. 7 Maynard in a Div. 5 state quarterfinal.

    Hoosac Valley garnered a 59-48 victory over Hopedale.

    Mahar beat Boston English with a score of 63-55.

    New Mission triumphed over Douglas with a score of 65-54.

    Medway triumphed over Newburyport with a score of 41-34.

    Cathedral secured a 74-56 victory over Millbury.

    Millis won with 42 points against Littleton's 38.
