Celebrity Big Brother was thrown into chaos when a panelist dropped a C-bomb not once, but twice!
AJ Odudu and Will Best were surprised when drag queen Danny Beard used strong language on the spin-off show Late & Live, which followed Gary Goldsmith’s eviction on the main show.
Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, was the first celebrity to be evicted from the ITV show last night after a face-off with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Simon. It was an eventful first eviction of the series, with high emotions and viewers expressing their opinions
in the aftermath. Discussing on Late & Live, Danny – known for Drag Race UK – shared his thoughts on the tension between Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Zeze Millz, predicting they will nominate each other again. The two already clashed when Zeze described Love Island as a ‘holiday,’ which Ekin immediately dismissed and urged her not to talk about the reality show – which she won in 2022 – anymore.
On Late & Live, Danny Beard caused chaos on Celebrity Big Brother when he used strong language twice last Friday.
After Danny described Ekin-Su's desire to impress Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, he speculated that Louis is constantly critical of her, using a derogatory term, before realizing his mistake.
Danny shared his thoughts, stating: ‘I think Ekin-Su is keen to impress Sharon (Osbourne) and Louis (Walsh).
‘And if Louis is constantly like, “Oh I don’t like her, she sounds like a c**t, she looks like a c**t”…’
The studio was filled with gasps as Danny caught on to what he had said.
‘Oh, can I say that?’, asked the star, while AJ and Will struggled to hide their horror.
It’s unsurprising that no, Danny, you cannot say that.
‘No, that is the one thing you can’t say!’ Will commented after regaining composure and trying to regain control over the situation.
‘We apologize for Danny's use of a particular word, but it is in the past and we are not going to say it again.’
AJ added: ‘We are sorry about that. That’s the pressure of live TV.’
Understandably, Danny felt humiliated and covered their face out of embarrassment.
‘I’m so sorry,’ they repeated.
While producers were surely concerned about viewers being offended, people were actually enjoying it.
On social media, viewers described the moment as ‘incredible’, with mrkphllps1 remarking: ‘Obsessed with Danny Beard saying c**t live on ITV2 in front of Kate Middleton’s uncle…twice’.
Others questioned whether Will's apology was necessary, considering the expletives were used after 11pm.
h_rryy9 said: ‘Danny Beard saying c**t on live TV twice was the highlight tonight’.
Following a drama-filled eviction that saw self-proclaimed ‘buncle’ (bad uncle) Gary sent packing in a not-so-surprising eviction result, Danny made NSFW comments.
Despite leaving the famous compound to boos, Gary assured viewers he had ‘the best time’.
Speaking to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best after his exit, he said he aimed to ‘change his personality,’ but later expressed remorse – not nominating Louis for eviction.
He said that he regrets voting for both people he chose.
He regrets voting for Lauren and Zeze, because the voting was rushed and judgement had to be quick.
When pushed to give a name, Goldsmith said he would have chosen the former X Factor judge, who often fell asleep.
To be honest, he's entertaining but he falls asleep frequently.
He said on Late and Live after returning to the 'real world' that it's been a crazy whirlwind.
Celebrity Big Brother will continue tomorrow at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
