Vice President Harris is going to discuss the availability of abortion on Monday afternoon at a political event in La Crosse, Wis., during her third visit to the crucial swing state this year.
Harris has taken the initiative in the White House’s attempts to reinstate national safeguards for reproductive rights. The matter has become more important for abortion rights supporters as several states have started to establish strict limitations on abortions. Last week, Harris went to Arizona, where the mainly Republican state Legislature continues to support a prohibition on all abortions except for those necessary to save the mother's life.
