Thiago Silva hinted that his time at Stamford Bridge was ending after Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City.
Chelsea’s chances of winning a trophy this season were ended by Pep Guardiola’s City, who secured a 1-0 win thanks to Bernando Silva’s late goal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had better chances but were punished for their wastefulness as they suffered another defeat at Wembley following Liverpool’s win over the Blues in the League Cup final.
Silva was brought to tears after Chelsea were eliminated from the FA Cup and indicated in a post-match interview that his time in west London was ending.
The 39-year-old, who came to Stamford Bridge in 2020, will be without a contract at the end of the season and says he has already made a decision about his future.
‘You will find out in the next few days,’ Silva said. ‘I don’t want to say anything now after a loss.
‘I’m upset about the result, but eventually the news will be revealed. I do have a decision made up in my mind, but it’s not the right time to share it.

Pochettino thinks Chelsea ‘deserved more’ from their latest Wembley outing but admitted his side were not ‘clinical’ enough in front of goal.
‘It is so easy to explain,’ he said. ‘We conceded at a moment you should not concede.
‘We were not able to be clinical in front of goal, we had many chances but we did not score. I think in the game we were a little bit better and deserved more, but it is not about deserving it, it is about being clinical and we were not today.’
Manchester City, still looking for a double following their Champions League exit, will play against Manchester United or Coventry City in the FA Cup final.
