Amy Nuttall and her husband Andrew Buchan have reunited for the third time, as per reports.

Last year, the 41-year-old Emmerdale actress and her Broadchurch star husband, 45, were at the centre of split rumours following the latter’s alleged affair.

Andrew allegedly ‘fell’ for his Better co-star Leila Farzad, 39, while filming the new BBC thriller, which led to the couple splitting last year.

However, Amy – who shares two children with her spouse – was said to have taken Andrew back under on the condition that he follows strict rules.

Amy stated that the couple are living together again.

Talking about their family home in Buckinghamshire, she told The Sunday Times: ‘I’m the joint owner of our comfortable family home in Buckinghamshire.

Last February, reports emerged that Andrew had left his wife for his Better co-star Leila, 39, while they were filming the BBC thriller series (Picture: BBC/Sister Pictures/Ross Fergusan)

Amy apparently took him back but allegedly said he must follow a strict set of rules that include weekly date nights and full access to each other’s phones – also known as the 777 approach.

The 777 approach entails going on a date every week, going away for the night every seven weeks, and holidaying as a couple every seven months.

After the alleged cheating rumours hit the headlines, it was reported that Andrew and Leila were ‘living together’, much to the ‘shock’ of those around him.

Amy is best known for playing Chloe Atkinson on Emmerdale from 2000 until 2005 and then going on to play housemaid Ethel Parks in period drama Downton Abbey.

Andrew began his career in 2005 after graduating from Durham University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts when he appeared onstage as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.

His career in television began in 2006 when he appeared as the vicar, St. John Rivers, in the adaptation of Jane Eyre.

The couple share two children, a daughter, and a son, though much of their life is kept out of the public eye.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Amy and Andrew’s reps for comment.
