A kind person has taken in two deserted rabbits found in a Deliveroo bag in Liverpool on Easter weekend.
Twitter user Mike shared a heartbreaking photo of the small brown and white rabbits on X hiding in a blue Deliveroo bag in the L8 area of Liverpool.
He said: 'Some c*** has dumped a couple of rabbits in the L8 area, anyone know what I can do with them the RSPCA won't take them.'
After sharing the image on social media, it became very popular and a good samaritan agreed to take them in.
Mike later shared that the RSPCA had 'refused' to take the animals in.
He said: 'Someone's on the way to pick them up, Nice one for the shares people 👌 power of social media is boss.'
It's still unclear why the RSPCA said no to taking in the abandoned animals, and Metro.co.uk has reached out for comment.
The RSCPA website does have a section offering rabbit adoption and tips on keeping the furry animals.

he animals have been named Mark and Jeremy and will spend Easter being cared for at Woodside Animal Welfare Sanctuary.
The adorable bunnies were found in a small pet carrier by the entrance to Woodside Animal Welfare Sanctuary near Plympton.
Both had injuries, which staff at the sanctuary believe they had inflicted on each other. Staff caring for the new arrivals made a plea to the public not to buy bunnies as gifts this Easter.
