Tish Cyrus has disclosed that she has encountered 'issues' in her relationship with Dominic Purcell.
The 56-year-old married the Prison Break actor, 54, last summer, just months after announcing their engagement.
They were surrounded by most of their loved ones on their big day in Malibu last August, with daughter Miley Cyrus serving as maid of honor.
During the latest episode of her podcast, Sorry We’re Stoned, she touched on their marriage, explaining that they have dealt with some personality clashes.
'It is crazy because I am a Taurus and he is an Aquarius, and every single thing that I read said, “Don’t even do it.” They said it’s the absolute worst pairing,' she shared.
'The growth I truly have had with him is crazy. And I had to really grow because I’m so easily offended.'
Tish shared that, while she was 'coddled a lot' at a young age, Dominic can be 'very blunt' and not emotional.
'That could be a problem,' she continued. 'But this is where I’ve grown, I just feel like instead now of me getting so offended, because I respect and love him, that we have conversations.
'Instead of getting so upset and heated about it, and me not taking it personally, just letting him have an opinion. I’ve never been good at that.
'These are definitely issues. But issues also, because I love him, that I’m dealing with.'
Tish and Dom were first romantically linked in 2022 – following her split from ex-husband, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Spilling the beans on how they started dating, she confessed that she slid into his DMs, describing their bond as 'love at first sight'.
She confirmed their engagement on Instagram in April, 2023, with a string of loved-up photos and the caption: 'A thousand times…. YES.'
Shortly after, they tied the knot in a stunning, 'romantic fairytale' ceremony, held at Miley’s Malibu home.
The Flowers singer later told Vogue of her mom’s nuptials: 'To see my mom this happy and in love is very emotional for me.
'Dom and my mom share the sweetest, most genuine love. It’s almost like it’s for the first time, which is so fitting for my mom who is such a young soul.
'Since they met, they both started aging in reverse. Somehow, my mom has gotten even more beautiful. The day was as special and magical as they are.
'To stand beside my mother and give her away to Dom is a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life.'
