Nigel Farage is being considered for the next reality TV show.

Nigel Farage has been offered a significant sum to take part in a different reality TV show, sources say.

The former UKIP leader reached the final of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. He may continue his reality TV career with a substantial sum being offered for him to take part in Channel 4’s Banged Up: Stars Behind Bars..

The show previously featured celebrities, including minister for veterans’ affairs Johnny Mercer, star Marcus Luther, and EastEnders actor Sid Owen, Gogglebox comedian Tom Rosenthal. They were placed in the now-closed HMP Shrewsbury and givenan authentic experience of being imprisoned. Former prisoners also participated, acting as they did before their rehabilitation..

Producers reportedly want Brexit Party leader Farage, 59, to be part of the second series.

‘Nigel isn’t universally liked but he draws in viewers,’ a source revealed.

The show was seen as an interesting social experiment (Picture: Colin Hutton / Channel 4) The Sun.

    Banged Up cast
‘He did surprisingly well in the jungle and is interested in doing more reality TV. Producers are hopeful about reaching an agreement with him soon.’

When asked about it, Nigel didn’t rule it out: ‘Banged Up is very interesting.’

The show's unique concept earned it a

nomination in the Reality and constructed factual category. A second series is expected to start filming in September for eight nights. Bafta Allen wants to see more politicians in prison (Picture: Channel 4)

    Ofill Allen in prison
Ofill Allen willingly returned to prison, aiming to demonstrate the reality of being in jail and potentially improve the criminal justice system, as well as dissuade others from committing crimes. He spent 17 years in prison for the killing of an alleged rapist at 19, before being released in 2020.

    He shared a cell with

Conservative MP Johnny Mercer. Allen found this enlightening and subsequently expressed his desire for more politicians to be incarcerated. Metro.co.uk he’d ‘More MPs need to go to prison so they can understand the reality.

‘They would comprehend it if they experienced it themselves. You have to live, breathe, eat, sleep, and experience it to truly understand how it feels.’

    Nigel Farage
He believes that exposing politicians to prison life could lead to reforms in the prison system.

‘Prison can dehumanize. It is a punishment, so there needs to be a balance. Criminals must realize their actions are wrong and not repeat them, but we are still human beings.’

He added: ‘Some days we'd be locked up for hours with no communication about what was happening. Those lockdowns occurred on Banged Up, and it reminded me of how terrible it is to experience.’

    Farage was reportedly

the highest-paid contestant in the history of I’m A Celeb, prompting a negative reaction. Metro.co.uk has reached out to Channel 4 for a statement. Series one of Banged Up is accessible for viewing on Channel 4..

    Not another one!

Banged up series one is available to watch on Channel 4.
