Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson believes England and West Ham star Jarrod Bowen could possibly replace Mohamed Salah in the summer window.
Lawrenson recognizes that finding an identical replacement will be nearly impossible but considers Bowen as a strong candidate for Liverpool, especially with the club prioritizing funds for a new centre-back.
Lawrenson praises Bowen for his versatility, goal-scoring ability, and diligent work ethic, which have earned him seven caps for England so far.
Bowen has been in impressive form for West Ham this season, registering 14 goals and three assists in 28 Premier League matches.
Meanwhile, Salah has been heavily linked with the Saudi Pro League, and former Premier League striker Mido claims the Egyptian has already agreed to a move.
If that's the case, Liverpool will need to fill his spot, and Lawrenson believes Bowen may be heading to Anfield at the end of the season.
'Jarrod Bowen moving to Liverpool is a strong possibility,' Lawrenson told Paddy Power.
'He can play in all three positions in the attacking line, scores goals, and works hard. We won't find another Mo Salah.
'Another strength is his strong defensive work – he wasn't great at it when he arrived but has improved. Anyone could come in, but I think he will leave – no doubt about that at all.
'As for who replaces him, I'm not sure how much money Liverpool will have. They need another centre-back, and that might be their first priority. It's not just about who replaces Salah for me.'
