Billie Piper has appeared on the red carpet to promote her latest project in a very attention-grabbing outfit.
The actress, 41, is most recognized for her roles in TV series like Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl and I Hate Suzie.
She’s now acting in the upcoming movie Scoop for Netflix, which is based on the true events leading up to Prince Andrew’s explosive 2019 BBC Newsnight interview’s stars Gillian Anderson as journalist Emily Maitlis.
It , who famously interviewed the royal,played by Rufus Sewell , about his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.Billie portrays Sam McAlister, the producer for the news show who arranged the interview, which was later described by one viewer as being less a car accident and more like ‘a plane crashing into an oil tanker, causing a tsunami, triggering a nuclear explosion’.
The film is based on McAlister’s own account of what happened, which was detailed in her book Scoops.

In an interview with Netflix’s
, McAlister previously mentioned that while the interview was significant, it was only ‘5% of the story’. Tudum‘What we do is we take you on the journey to how this all began,’ she said.
For Billie, the role allowed her to gain insight into a story that had intrigued her personally.
