The 22-year-old actor shared the unfortunate news on social media after being removed from the ITV show in the second-to-last episode.
Bradley posted a photo of his grandfather and wrote: ‘I just heard the sad news of my Grandad passing while in the BB house. He was strong, kind and funny. I love you so much x.’
Bradley’s time on the show was ended abruptly in an unexpected eviction just two days before the finale. He came in sixth place with TV star David Potts winning first prize after being chosen by the public.
Aj Odudu and Will Best revealed that Dancing with the Stars’ Nikita Kuzmin came in second place, with Coronation Street star Colson Smith in third place, Louis Walsh in fourth place, and TV presenter Fern Britton in fifth.
Bradley became well-known for playing James McEwan in the Netflix television series Heartstopper and was a popular contestant on the reality show.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk in 2022 about landing his part on Heartstopper, Bradley explained that it was his mother who pushed him to audition because he was initially hesitant and didn’t want to miss his studies.
Bradley learned about his autism at the age of nine and expressed his desire to help others feel less alone by sharing his experiences.
‘Acting is a form of escape for me. I feel liberated and understood while portraying characters when, most of the time, I felt misunderstood as Bradley,’ he stated.
‘I am thrilled that I can show autistic individuals that they are not alone and that they are not invisible – they are beautiful and magical.’

He told The Sun that his series was ‘too woke’ and described it as ‘boring’ since people were tip-toeing around one another.
Midway through his time on the show, Louis disclosed that he was diagnosed with blood cancer during the pandemic.
Reflecting on this in the interview, Louis added that ‘this whole experience’, being Celebrity Big Brother, is ‘going to change’ him.
‘I am going to try and be nicer. I am a bit catty. I always let people know what I think of them, that’s just me,’ he said.
Big Brother re-launched with impressive results last year achieving its highest viewing figures in a decade with 2.5million people tuning in, surpassing popular shows like Love Island.
Just months later Celebrity Big Brother premiered and according to ITV it attracted an average of 1.7 million viewers who tuned in to follow the series.
