Coronation Street viewers are eager to find out what happened to Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) after she went missing a few weeks ago.
After looking into it, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) thought she had solved the case when she arrested Roy Cropper (David Neilson), after he tidied up Lauren’s apartment.
Roy’s arrest became popular online, and he has since been harassed by friends of Lauren’s father Reece.
Fortunately, Carla Connor and Nick Tilsley (Alison King and Ben Price) came to his rescue, and they quickly went to report the incident to the police.

However, fans have noticed a suspicious man lurking in the background of these scenes, taking photos and videos of the café owner and eavesdropping on his conversations, and they believe they know who he is.
He first showed up in the café waiting for his breakfast, where he was clearly trying to get information about Roy’s situation.
Then, he was seen at the police station discreetly taking photos of Roy, and then attending Lauren’s vigil and recording the event.
Viewers will remember that Lauren had a mysterious boyfriend that we never got to see, who supposedly gave her money and extravagant gifts.
Although they have broken up, some fans suspect that he may be involved in her disappearance.
Twitter/X user JillyGee wondered if the man in the café was Lauren’s mysterious boyfriend, while Peter Brown suggested that the ‘suspicious looking man’ could be an undercover police officer.
No one knows what happened to Lauren, or if she is still alive, although there have been plenty of theories on the internet.
So far, Roy and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) have faced police scrutiny, but fans have also suggested involvement from past villains Rob Donovan, Nathan Curtis and some of Lauren’s far right connections.
