A British actor has been formally asked to take on James Bond and is expected to sign the agreement this week, according to reports.
There has been ongoing speculation about who will be the next 007 since Daniel Craig revealed he was leaving the series. Several actors, including Idris Elba and and Happy Valley's James Norton, have been rumored for the role.However, it appears the search is now over, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who was previously
uncertain about taking on the next James Bond role , reportedly impressing the producers.It is said that the Kick Ass actor, 33, has been officially chosen to be the next 007 by Eon Productions, the company behind the films, and will accept the esteemed position in the ‘coming days.’
Once the agreement is finalized, filming for the next spy movie will commence later this year, according to a source.
: ‘Bond is Aaron’s job, if he decides to accept it. The official offer has been made and they are waiting to hear back.

In August, Aaron was asked about whether he had been approached for Bond and gave a cryptic response, telling Esquire: ‘I just focus on the things I can have in my hands right now.
‘What’s in front of me right now.’
His comments came after it was alleged he made a positive impression

‘Those in charge of the brand were really impressed with his unique acting style and his impressive track record of action films,’ a source told the publication.
Aaron is married to 57-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey

Aaron is also the stepfather of Angelica, 26, and 18-year-old Jessie, from Sam’s previous marriage to Jay Jopling.
Aaron is most famous for appearing in his first film back in 2008 comedy Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, before impressing critics again in 2009’s Nowhere Boy as a portrayal of John Lennon.
He has since accumulated an impressive list of movies on his resume including Kick-Ass, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Outlaw King, Tenet and Bullet Train.
