Glenn Close caused a stir by revealing photos of herself without makeup, showing her bruised face, while maintaining that she feels 'beautiful as ever'.
The Hollywood heavyweight, best known for her performances in 101 Dalmatians and Fatal Attraction, is familiar with being open on social media, but this may be one of her most memorable posts.
On Instagram, the 76-year-old was captured making comical expressions in front of the camera, without any makeup.
She also had some bruising on her face, which she explained in the post's caption.
In the new carousel, Glenn wrote: 'I think this is going to be a particularly GOOD day.
'(Ignore the bruises. I had a tiny break in my nose fixed) Feeling as beautiful as ever.'
Lily Collins was one of those who were thrilled by the photos and expressed her joy in the comments.
'Omg love you,' she simply wrote.

Glenn is still as busy as ever, and is currently part of the cast for the new Apple TV+ series The New Look, alongside Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, and Ben Mendelsohn.
In the series, which centers on the challenges faced by major fashion designers like Coco Chanel and Christian Dior during wartime in order to revolutionize fashion, she portrays former Harper’s Bazaar editor in chief, Carmel Snow.
Explaining why she took on the project, Glenn revealed that she couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with executive producer Todd A Kessler again, following their collaboration on Damages.
'The truth is, I would do anything for [Todd] after experiencing his brilliance as a writer/director/collaborator on Damages,' she told Harper’s Bazaar last year.
'I was thrilled when he asked me to step into the daunting shoes of Carmel Snow in The New Look, and only hope I do justice to one of the truly iconic, game-changing figures in the history of fashion.'
She is also set to appear in horror The Deliverance and Back in Action, with Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx.
