Friends of Kate Middleton, the Princess of Walesanticipate she will openly discuss her health health when she resumes public engagements.
On January 16, Kate Middleton had surgery for an undisclosed condition at the London Clinic, while King Charles was also being treated at the same place.
She's not expected to go back to official duties until after Easter holidays.
People close to the Prince and Princess of Wales told The Sunday Times they anticipate she will go back to public duties after April 17 and that more information about her health will be given then
One source said: ‘They are most open when meeting with members of the public and I can see the princess discussing her recovery during engagements.
‘If she was going to do it, that’s how she would do it.’
Another person added: ‘They will want to be clear and more open, but they’ll do it when they feel ready.
‘I would expect that to be her instinct and it will be her call. They’re not going to be rushed.’
The newspaper also reports that Prince William will likely take a break from public duties during the holiday.
The only details known about Middleton’s visit to the London Clinic earlier this year are that she had abdominal surgery and spent about two weeks at the facility before returning to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to recover.
Kensington Palace has clarified that the issue wasn't related to cancer, following speculation after King Charles announced his own cancer diagnosis shortly after being treated for an enlarged prostate at the same clinic.
The Sunday Times also mentions that the Prince and Princess of Wales will still release photos for their children’s birthdays.
Middleton recently apologized for editing a family picture released by Kensington Palace on Mother’s Day last year.
The Princess released a statement on social media saying: ‘Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.
‘I wanted to apologize for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.’
The palace stated it will not release the unedited photograph, which has fueled speculation about the true state of the Princess’s health, described as damaging to public trust in the royal familyand leading to various conspiracy theories online.
