Fern Britton has absolutely exploded on Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu on Thursday’s Celebrity Big Brother.

The This Morning star, 66, launched into a tirade against the Love Island winner, 29, as the house underwent face-to-face nominations ahead of Friday’s double eviction.

It saw celebs including Louis Walsh, Nikita Kuzmin, Zeze Millz and David Potts nominate two housemates each to face the public vote to be kicked off the show, and it didn’t take long for things to become tense.

Ekin-Su nominated Fern, saying the former presenter hadn’t asked her many questions about herself or made an effort to get to know her.

After every nomination, the housemates shared a kiss on the cheek to try and clear the air.

However when it was Fern’s time to make a nomination, she didn’t hold back.

Nominating Ekin, Fern said she had made an effort to ask questions and get to know her but hadn’t found the conversations ‘particularly enlightening’.

The TV host said she had been ‘disappointed and disturbed’ by Ekin’s behavior, and accused her of ‘wearing a mask’ in the house and ‘absorbing other people’s personalities’.

Ekin was caught on cameras looking absolutely appalled, not making an effort to mask her feelings, and shook her head when Fern kissed her and told her ‘you’re brilliant’.

The incredibly tense scenes caused waves on social media, with X users flocking to the site in disbelief at what they were seeing.

‘Fern saying she’s disturbed about Ekin omg,’ user Finn wrote, while Sana said ‘Fern was not holding back at ALL on Ekin I am GAGGED rn… producers definitely did the right thing giving us face to face nominations.’

User A_grey9283 said ‘Fern dragging ekin su?? I AM HERE FOR IT,’ and Jonny said it was ‘such a savage read of Ekin Su from Fern’.

Soph described it as ‘brutal’, and Nads joked ‘so in summary, Fern said that Ekin is fake.’

However there was more drama to come, as Ekin was so horrified by pal Marisha Wallace nominating her that she refused to kiss her and began weeping in bed.

Marisha for her part attempted to apologize and explain to Ekin that she nominated her because she thought she would easily win thanks to her large fan base, however the insult clearly cut far, far too deep for Ekin to forgive.

The star, who found fame on Love Island, said she did not think she would be able to forgive Marisha, and complained that ‘everyone is judging me for being on a f*****g show [Love Island].’

Later, Fern spoke in the diary room and blasted Ekin yet again, though this time not to her face, and said she believed Ekin was ‘standing there giving the performance of someone distressed.’

She continued: ‘And yesterday afternoon, I observed Louis bidding farewell to Sharon Osbourne, and all the people stood up and delivered a speech. I noticed Ekin-Su sitting at the table, making sniffling sounds, and I pondered whether it was genuine or just an act.’

The current eviction candidates for Friday’s episode are Louis, Ekin, Fern, David Potts, and Levi Roots.

The Celebrity Big Brother is back on Friday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
