    How to watch the 2024 Oscars

    The 96th Academy Awards will start on Sunday night – one hour earlier than usual, at 7 p.m. EDT. Expect some of the year’s biggest films to win awards.

    How to watch

    You can watch the ceremony on local ABC stations if you have cable or satellite. It's also available on abc.com and the ABC app by logging in with your service provider details.

    You can also stream the ceremony on services like Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV. Many of these services offer a free trial.

    International viewers can check this list from the Oscars to find out which networks will air the ceremony in their country.

    Who is hosting?

    Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars for the fourth time.

    Who is presenting?

    The four recipients of a 2023 acting award will present awards at the ceremony: Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Fraser, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ke Huy Quan.

    Other presenters include Mahershala Ali, Bad Bunny, Nicolas Cage, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Keaton, Regina King, Kate McKinnon, Jessica Lange, Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, Rita Moreno, John Mulaney, Lupita Nyong’o, Catherine O’Hara, Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sam Rockwell, Octavia Spencer, Ramy Youssef, and Zendaya.

    Who is performing?

    Each song nominated for Best Original Song will be performed during the ceremony.

    “The Fire Inside” from Flamin’ Hot, with music and lyrics by Diane Warren, will be performed by Becky G.

    “I’m Just Ken” from Barbie, with music and lyrics by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, will be performed by Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson.

    “It Never Went Away” from American Symphony, with music and lyrics by Jon Batiste and Dan Wilson, will be performed by Jon Batiste.

    “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” from Killers of the Flower Moon, with music and lyrics by Scott George, will be performed by Scott George and the Osage Singers.

    “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie, with music and lyrics by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, will be performed by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.

    Which films are nominated?

    Oppenheimer is the most nominated film this year, with 13 total nominations, including Best Picture, Best Directing, and three acting nominations. Poor Things follows with 11 nominations, and Killers of the Flower Moon follows with 10 nominations.

    All three are up for Best Picture, along with seven others: American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives and The Zone of Interest.
