The report established that Amini suffered physical trauma while in the custody of the morality police, leading to her demise.

The report submitted to the U.N. Human Rights Council stated, “On that basis, the State bears responsibility for her unlawful death.”

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, dismissed the allegations in the report, contending that they are based on inaccurate and biased information. rejected the claims in the report, saying its allegations are “based on false and biased information.”

The report did not name anyone specifically for her death.

The report also stated that Tehran's security forces carried out “unlawful” killings of protestors “in situations where there was no imminent threat of death or serious injury.”

Some of the detained individuals faced threats of rape and sexual violence.

The report mentioned, “The security forces utilized social and cultural stigma associated with sexual and gender-based violence to instill fear and shame and to punish women, men, and children.”
