Barron, who recently turned 18, will join 41 at-large GOP delegates to represent Florida at the July convention to officially nominate his father as the presidential candidate for the November election against President Biden, as confirmed by Republican Party of Florida chairman Evan Power to The Associated Press.
The convention will also include Donald Trump Jr., Eric, and Tiffany as delegates. The news about Barron's selection as a delegate was first reported on Wednesday.

In a statement to the AP, Power expressed gratitude for the collaboration of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and the Trump family as part of the Florida delegation. Last month, the public became aware of Barron again when a New York judge had to consider whether Trump could attend Barron’s graduation, ultimately granting him permission to miss the trial for the graduation.
The Republican National Convention is scheduled to take place from July 15-18 in Milwaukee.
Trump, who became a Florida resident in 2019, won in Florida during both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

His name was brought back into the public eye last month after the New York judge overseeing the former president’s hush money criminal trial was forced to weigh whether Trump could skip trial to attend Barron’s graduation on May 17.
Judge Juan Merchan eventually granted Trump special permission to miss trial for the graduation.
The Republican National Convention will take place from July 15-18 in Milwaukee.
